Fishing Fashion: Karen Graham
American model Graham was the face of Estee Lauder throughout the 70s and returned to promote the cosmetics firm’s “Resilience Lift” face cream in the late 90s. The Lauder shoots were always by Victor Skrebneski, and in the occasional outdoorsy image Graham looked the part. No wonder: she was and remains an expert fly fisher, running a fly-fishing school and appearing on several seasons of ESPN2’s “In Search of Fly Water.”

Just heard The Bluegrass Doctor, Ralph Stanley died. I was grateful to get to see him a few times. He has dozens of great songs, but I couldn’t think of any more appropriate.
